Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy explains how Boost Solutions (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on swarmsms.com and through the SwarmSMS plugin’s licensing and update service.

The short version

  • The SwarmSMS plugin stores your contacts and messages in your own WordPress database. We never receive, read or store them.
  • We collect only what’s needed to sell and license the software: your account and order details, and your license key and site address when you activate or check your license.

What we collect

  • Account and order data: name, email address, billing details, order and subscription history, and your license key(s).
  • Payment data: payments are handled by PayPal. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
  • License and update checks: when the plugin activates, verifies or checks for updates, it sends your license key, your site address (domain), the plugin version and a random site identifier to swarmsms.com.
  • Support enquiries: what you send us when you email or use the contact form.
  • Website usage: standard server logs and cookies needed for the shop and your account (for example the shopping cart and login session).

How we use it

  • To process orders, issue licenses and deliver updates.
  • To provide support and respond to enquiries.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, renewal notices, license information).
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our terms.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax and record keeping.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run the shop: payment processing (PayPal), web hosting and email delivery. They may only use the data to provide their services to us.

Your messages and your contacts

When you use SwarmSMS to message other people, you control that data and are responsible for it (including obtaining consent and honouring opt-outs). It is stored in your WordPress site and passes through your phones and carriers. If you enable optional Firebase push, Google receives a short “wake up” signal containing no message content.

SwarmSMS Cloud

If you use the hosted SwarmSMS Cloud dashboard, we store, on your behalf, the messages and phone numbers that pass through your account (message text, sender and recipient numbers, status and time), your paired devices (name, model, app version, battery level and last-seen time), your API keys (stored only as a hash), your webhook URLs and delivery logs. This data is visible only to your account and is used to provide the service, show your usage and deliver webhooks. You are responsible for having consent to message the people you text. We do not read your messages, sell them or use them for advertising. You can delete your account yourself at any time in the dashboard (Account → Delete account); all of this data is erased straight away and any active plan is cancelled. Messages sent with the self-hosted Plugin for WordPress stay in your own site and are not sent to us.

Retention

We keep order and license records for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes and for as long as your account is active.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (subject to legal record-keeping requirements) by sending us a message through the contact form. If you are in Australia you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner; if you are in the EU/UK you may contact your local data protection authority.

Security

We use HTTPS, access controls and reputable hosting and payment providers. No online service is perfectly secure; please protect your account password and license key.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: use the contact form.
